JEWELLERY CARE
To avoid tarnishing the metal, metal wear, and damage to settings and precious stones, please remove your jewellery when using soaps or detergents, cooking, swimming, exercising, showering, or moving heavy objects. We also recommend storing your jewellery in a clean and dry location.
To clean your jewellery, gently wash your pieces under warm water using a toothbrush, dish soap, and a few drops of eucalyptus oil. Rinse thoroughly and then dry with a soft cloth.Pieces that contain no stones or are chains can be buffed using a polishing cloth. We recommend doing this only after the piece has been cleaned first, to ensure that no dirt is transferred onto the polishing cloth.Â
To clean fine chains, create a paste with water and baking soda and gently rub it onto the chain. Soak in a small ceramic dish with warm water for a few minutes, then rinse and pad dry with a soft paper towel. Avoid running fine chains through a polishing cloth, as this can stretch delicate links. All snake chains are delicate and require professional cleaning; please visit the studio to have your piece buffed and cleaned in our ultrasonic cleaner.
Pearls are very soft and should be worn on occasion; they require additional care, please contact the studio for additional care information.Always handle delicate chains, pieces with pearls, or stones with particular care. If you are concerned that your piece may be damaged, we recommend placing it in its box and keeping it safe until you are able to have it reviewed and/or repaired.Taking care of your jewellery helps preserve its condition. We’re here to support you in keeping your pieces in their best state, and we’re always happy to assist with any questions you might have.
SIZING
Lott Studio rings are handmade to order and sized using standard Australian letter sizing. If your size is a half or full size different from the options available online, please select the closest size and note your 'true size' in the notes section when adding your selection to the cart.
If you are unsure of your ring size, we recommend visiting a local jeweller who can size you on the spot. If you are outside our online size range, contact the studio for a direct quote for your specific size. International size conversions can be found here. If you are unable to visit a jeweller, you can purchase a ring sizer online here.
For finished necklace and bracelet lengths, please see each individual product page. Custom lengths are available; contact the studio directly with your inquiry.
RESIZING
Lott Studio offers a complimentary resizing service for new orders if the purchase was made within 4 weeks. For engagement or custom creations, the first resize is also complimentary. Shipping costs to and from the studio are the responsibility of the customer, and any additional resizes will incur a fee.
Should you wish to inquire about resizing an existing piece outside of these scenarios, please contact us for a personalised price estimate.
NOTES ON PRECIOUS STONES
Avoid touching the stone directly, as natural oils and dirt from your fingers can cloud the diamond. Store diamond pieces separately from other jewellery and objects to prevent scratching, chips or damage.
To care for your stone, we recommend removing it during activities that may cause it to become loose or damaged—such as using soaps or detergents, cooking, swimming, exercising, showering, or lifting heavy objects. We recommend a yearly check and clean to ensure your piece is properly serviced and well maintained.
Please refrain from using the setting as leverage to pull a ring on and off the finger.
REPAIR AND CLEAN:
Lott Studio offers an integrated cleaning and repair service for both new and existing clients. We are committed to the longevity of your jewellery, and our jewellers work with precision and care to honour each piece as it evolves through time and wear.
To preserve the quality and integrity of your jewellery, we recommend that all repairs, resizing, and cleaning be carried out by Lott Studio. We are unable to guarantee the condition of pieces that have been handled elsewhere, and any work completed outside the studio falls beyond the scope of our manufacturing responsibility.
Our closed-cycle practice ensures that your piece remains within the studio throughout the process. We offer a range of services — from routine cleaning to complex restoration — designed to support your piece over its lifetime.
If damage has occurred, we ask that you contact the studio as soon as possible. Prompt communication allows us to assess the condition and advise on the most appropriate course of action. Once a piece has been handled outside the studio, or if damage has advanced without timely communication, it sits outside our duty of care. In such instances, we are unable to assume responsibility for its condition or for any further complications that may arise.

CARING FOR CHAINS
To clean fine chains, create a paste with water and baking soda and gently rub it onto the chain. Soak in a small ceramic dish with warm water for a few minutes, then rinse and pad dry with a soft paper towel. Avoid running fine chains through a polishing cloth, as this can stretch delicate links.
All snake chains are very delicate and require professional cleaning; please visit the studio to have your piece buffed and cleaned in our ultrasonic cleaner.
We recommend removing snake chains and fine necklace chains during exercise and sleep to minimise wear.
Over time, the build-up of hair and fabric fibres, along with twisting or tugging from other necklaces, can place stress on the links. This often leads to stretching, separation, and ultimately the need for repair or chain replacement.
CARING FOR PEARLS
Pearls are very soft and should be worn on occasion; they require additional care and we recommend always handling pieces with particular care. Removing pieces for exercise, sleep, swimming.
