Process with Purpose - STUDIO MELT

One thing we always try to communicate to our customers is that jewellery is (and should be) a slow process. Gold and silver are precious metals with great value and each deserves time in order to best preform. This slow process is something we have always embraced as it is often a beautiful part of the final outcome. In this new series Process with Purpose, we aim to share with you our studio processes and the processes of other creative friends as we continue to make during this time.

3. tapping gold from ingot

To start the series off we are sharing the process of melting and making. This process allows clients to repurpose an existing gold collection into new jewellery. We recently finished this wedding band which was hand formed through the process of melting, pulling and forming the gold. This gold was a gift from family and therefore especially significant.
